The original sector © genuinemerchandise

Crag features

The most developed crag is the original sector described in Northern Highlands North (2004). Roseness (ND 52694 99061). The original sector to the North holds the most climbs. To the south is a wall which is more tidally affected and on slightly poorer quality rock. It has likely been climbed but is relatively undocumented.

Approach notes

Park at the start of the Roseness coastal walk (HY 52472 00169). Follow the coastal path south for roughly 1km to the cairn (green mound) and then turn towards the coast and the top of the cliffs. The original sector is approached via a ramp (ND 52694 99061) that can be hard to find from the approach. The south wall can be approached via a scramble round from the ramp on tidal ledges or by a scramble at the far south end of the wall.
