Two minutes' walk from the jetty parking at Elgol. Despite being flaky and loose in places, it offers a few worthwhile routes, in particular Schoolhouse Buttress and Bee Keeper's Bother, and with the Cuillin as a backdrop you could do worse. The crazy honeycombs at the base of the main buttress are too friable for climbing, but worth a look for interest.
Some of the routes are literally in the back garden of the cottage. If anyone is staying, it would be polite to ask permission before climbing.
Great venue for a chilled out afternoon or as an addition to the other nearby seacliffs. Did Apiary Arete, Schoolhouse Buttress, Schoolhouse Rock & Beekeepers Bother. Thought they were all worthwhile routes with some good climbing. Beekeepers Bother is very good despite the odd loose hold. Jonny Tee 69 - 26/Jun/09 |

Schoolhouse Buttress is a good VS, and the E1 up the pillar looks a good line, but everything else looks crumbly and pointless. Worth a minor detour if you've been on Suidhe Biorach. Jamie B. - 11/Sep/05 |
