Rocktype UNKNOWN
Altitude 9m a.s.l

Crag features

A small bouldering spot in the Katla Lava (not to be confused with the Katla volcano). A short approach and a south facing aspect make it a nice place to come if you've exhausted other bouldering options.

The rock is good but frictionless, with most climbs being on sharp crimps and pockets.

Approach notes

From Grindavík drive eastwards, past the parking for the new lava, around 5 minutes after this right turn (south) onto a rough track takes you to a parking place in the lava. It is possible to drive the sandy road all the way to the shore if you have a 4x4. From the parking in the lava, walk down the slope for 30 seconds to find the crag on the right.
