A brilliant introduction to the delights of the crag and one of the most popular routes in the Lake District. Start around 10m up the slope from the large tree at the bottom of the face.
1) 17m. Climb the well-used diagonal line heading leftwards to the left-hand end of a narrow overlap at 13m. Now move up and left to a notch on the arete and belay.
2) 20m. Climb the low-angled arete to the top. © Rockfax
