The Old Watermill, Combe Gill © KristopherHall
A couple of boulders in the area just a short walk from Stonethwaite. A neat boulder just above the Combe Gill being the main point of interest
Park at the top of Stonethwaite and take the dead end past the church (don’t park here) and through chapel house farm yard taking a left at the gate avoiding the campsite on your right, follow this flat path through some gates keeping left until it splits and starts to rise steeply, again keep left and continue up to a point where you can see the Old Mill Cottage down to the right, continue for about 10mins where you pass through a gap in a stone wall, shortly after this you come to anther half collapsed stone wall where the gill/waterfall can be seen, the top of the Boulder can be seen down to your right (cairne on top) directly in line with the stone wall
