Crag features

Two sizeable concrete boulders, with a good variety of angles. Nice gravel landing. Potential as a good training venue.

The boulders are managed by the Forestry Commission, who keep the site clean and tidy, and can be contacted on

An eliminates guide is available here:

:( such a shame this is right near where a mate of mine has just moved, thought we could've visited it every now and then.

Erm I think this crag is in need of an update! I went along today (19th May) and the boulders have disappeared! I have emailed the address above for an explanation, my guess is they have been removed due to the vandalism described in previous comments. :-(

I have been there today, sunny Sunday, no climbers. Plastic charcoal crap is still there, rear part of the right boulder is completely black of charcoal, all over the place is scrap glass, I found some even in one grab! Could be nice place, but it is rather sad.

I notified the Forestry Commission, who told me they would try and clean it up. Their email address is above, in case you need to contact them again.

The overhanging section of the bigger boulder is currently unclimbable as a plastic bin has been burnt under it leaving plastic charcoal crap all over the boulder. May take the winter to clean itself!
