The Exmoor Coast Traverse lies between Minehead, Lynmouth and Combe Martin, North Devon, although it is normally shortened to start at Foreland Point. The route follows a line between the water and the grass line. Best section between Woody Bay and Heddons Mouth. Hardest section between Lynmouth/ Wringcliff Bay under the Valley Of The Rocks. The late Terry Cheek's website is still up and gives a great overview. http://members.madasafish.com/~exmoorwalker/page160.html. Kes Webb's Hidden Edge of Exmoor and the VS Climber's website are also good sources.
Obviously the route is at sea level, and you must seriously consider the tide as there are few escape routes. Have a look on the low water of spring tides first. Access is M5 then A39 or N. Devon link road from junc 27 to Lynmouth or Combe Martin.
