Crag features

An attractive, non-tidal, east-facing triangular wall on the small headland north of the Round Tower, across the inlet. The routes are fairly sheltered despite their location so a favorable breeze is best to avoid any lingering damp. Whilst birds are not a problem on the routes, the platform at their base can throng with birds in the nesting season.

Approach notes

Two solid stakes have been added to the top of the cliff about 8 meters back from the edge in a grassy step. Abseil off the south side of the promontory to gain the extensive flat rocks beneath the cliff. This is by far the easiest approach. Down climbing is not recommended. Consult the North East Outcrops guide book for more information.
