Crag features

Awesomely steep (approx. 100m high x 25m overhanging) dry tooling venue. The manufactured routes (of excellent quality) were created by a strong team of local PGHM (J Mercier, B Bihler et al). Mono points, ergo tools, and super deep lockoffs required.

Routes from M5 to M12 (majority M7 to M10). Easier routes to the righ hand side of the crag. A selection of small plastic animals (drilled into the rock) mark the start of each route.

Directions from a few years ago - This should take 20-30 min. On the edge of the village by the Saw Mill there is a bridge. Stand on the bridge looking up hill then walk up the left hand side of the river. Cross a field then up a short steep slope and through a coniferous plantation. When the plantation finishes turn right at the T. Follow this path uphill through the open woods keeping right at any forks. The path will then dip sharply down and across the river. Carry on up hill on the far side of the river, the path bears right, away from the river and passes some ruins then a big decaying slate block. Bear left with a steep wooded drop to your right then go uphill through increasingly rocky ground. Only now will the crag begin to appear. you won't be disappointed !!!!

Approach notes

I've added some photos to help folk find the crag. One is a map, with our GPX track on it. The other is a signpost which you might pass on the approach.

Probably the hardest crag in the world to find. it is recomended to go for the first time with somebody who has been before as there is no obvious waypoints at the crucial point where you diverge from the main footpath. even with the above description, the guidebook description and GPS it still took us about an hour and a half to find, and even then we only found it by chance on our way back down the hill...

No Access Issues

**Important**

Large rockfall today on the overhang to the left of the crag.

UPDATE: everything left of Zebra has gone, and you might also want to avoid the routes in the middle of the crag. The right hand side (with the easier and more popular routes) is unnaffected.
