A rather remote cliff, but well worth the effort required, with some classic climbs in a beautiful setting. Try to catch good conditions - calm seas, low tide, and afternoon in late summer.
Approach from the small car park with the square granite building (once toilets, now abandoned) on the coast road halfway between Bosigran Count House and Morvah. Bear left across the road from the car park and take the path by the National Trust sign to a junction with the Coast Path. Go left along the Coast Path for 10m. A fisherman's path, which may be partially overgrown and difficult to detect at times, leads down steep slopes towards the sea. On the right (facing out) is the rocky crest of Long Carn Ridge. Down to the left is the rocky top of Whirl Pool Buttress.
July 2020 - sand levels seem high. andy_pemberton - 24/Jul/20 |
