Approach notes

If travelling by car park at the lower Forestry Comission car park off Woodhead Lane (if the gate is locked park on the road and walk down the track). Walk down the hill towards the ponds. On entering the wood take the path to the right to go round the Southern side of the upper pond. Continue past the pond taking the path up the hill. The quarry is off to the left after ~100m from the pond. Be aware that the gates to the car parks are shut on an evening, the time they will be closed should be displayed when entering.

If travelling by train take the path into the woods just past the last house on Dovecliffe Road.
