Fabian Buhl, the boulderer turned trad climber, turned multi pitch climber, turned winter solo climber from Oberstaufen, Bavaria, has completed an extremely impressive highball triple at Bishop: Ambrosia, Too big to flail and Old Greg, all in one week.

Ambrosia is a ~45 foot ~8A ascending the central part of Grandpa Peabody boulder in the Buttermilks and was first climbed by Kevin Jorgeson in 2009

Too big to flail is slightly easier, ~7C+/8b and also slightly higher, 50 feet. It features delicate, balancy climbing on water-and wind-polished rock with glassy crimps and was first climbed by by Alex Honnold in 2012

Old Greg, in the Little Egypt area, is a 30+ foot ~8A/14b, by Ethan Pringle who made the first ascent in 2016.

Fabi says he knew he wanted to test himself on the notorious highballs, and that's what he did.

More about this soon.

Fabian Buhl is sponsored by: adidas, Climb On, La Sportiva and Petzl
