'The second hardest route of my life': Ondra climbs Menagerie, Hard 9b+Video

© Adam Ondra

Watch Adam Ondra climb his second hardest route ever, Menagerie, Hard 9b+.

Menagerie, also known as Zvěřinec, is at Adam's home crag of Moravian Karst, and is the fifth 9b+ that he has climbed. His other 9b+ routes are Change (L1+L2) (9b+), La Dura Dura (9b+)Move (9b+), and Vasil Vasil, all of which he established.

Both Menagerie and Vasil Vasil, as well as Silence - the world's first 9c route - are yet to receive repeats.

Upon finishing the route, Adam said 'I'm pretty sure it's the second hardest climb of my life. Silence (9c), and then this one'. You can read our full report of Adam's ascent of Menagerie here.

I saw this video on his YouTube channel. It is a great video. AO, as usual, is down to earth and a stand up guy.

I have been watching quite a lot if Adam Ondra on YouTube recently.

Apparently he is not going to Excalibur this year.

AO kinda said Excalibur is unlikely happening for him as the danger of injury is too high, and thus that he leaves it behind as unfinished business.

Who do you think will be the next person to do it?

Will Bosi is the runner up for sure.

I know he is bouldering a lot now. My odds are on Will Bosi too.
