This is Patagonia - Whittaker and Villanueva O'DriscollFri Night Vid

© Pete Whittaker

This week's Friday Night Video takes us to Patagonia where Pete Whittaker and Sean Villanueva O'Driscoll are gunning for first free ascents. The pair, who had never previously roped up together, made the most of Patagonia's short and fickle weather windows to repeat routes in the Fitz and Torre massifs.

That was great. What a team.

I'm surprised this hasn't received more news attention given that Sean describes the 8a pitch Pete frees as "probably the hardest pitch in the range". That seems quite significant.
