Flying Buttress at Stanage - the most popular route in Britain with 1314 ascents in UKC Logbooks

The UKC Logbooks have been an incredible success since their introduction in October 2005. We started with around 35,000 routes in our database and now have 131,000 routes across the World. An incredible 8,966 users have set up Logbooks but none quite as prolific as Goi Ashmore who also combines his personal ticking with being moderator for 59 crags.

Win a Rockfax Guidebook of your Choice

We have one BIG statistic milestone which we are about to hit so we thought we'd like to celebrate a little by offering a prize to the person who logs the MILLIONTH tick in the logbook system.

On the evening of Tuesday 9th Feb the total was on 999,105 and on average each day we get 500 ticks added. At that rate we should hit a million on Wednesday or Thursday.

Nick Smith is keeping an eye on the system and will carefully monitor who logs the significant route. A Rockfax guidebook of the user's choice will be offered as a prize.

UPDATE - the 1 millionth logged climb - a 3 star classic Winter route on Bidean nam Bian was Crypt Route, climbed by submariner on 9 February.
