WINNER: the.proud.man

Exped are specialists in creating highly innovative products for the maximum outdoor experience with minimal means. The principle "less is more" flows into the development of Exped gear in which every feature and extra is one hundred percent in tune with its function.

The range of Exped mats are renowned for their comfort, warmth and durability and have won many industry awards

Building on the popularity of the Exped MegaMat, the MegaMat Duo M is truly the closest you can come to sleeping on your bed at home while on your adventures, at 104cm it slots neatly into the bootspace of many vehicles and allows more room when van camping.

The Duo M can be shared, or be a luxurious solo-sleep, with vertical sidewalls to ensure its 10cm thickness goes right to the edge in all directions offering an absolutely level sleeping surface.
High quality foam insulation and a stretch tricot top surface offer amazing support. This is the ultimate car camping or canoe trip mat!

None other than legendary wad Steve McClure has been using his Megamat for a while...

"I just can't stress how much my Exped Megamat has totally changed the game as far as camping is concerned. True, it is hardly the lightest or has the smallest pack size but the comfort is simply amazing, and I'm more than happy sleeping on it over a normal bed.
Having camped recently for a prolonged period, and climbed on the trip, it felt like the mat was the most important thing I'd brought! More important than any light weight climbing kit or performance shoes. Without a good night sleep everything feels tough! "

Might be worth checking the specs again. You've written that it's  183cm long.

Aye. 1m and 83cm long would seem about right?

£290 for an air mattress!!

No wonder they are giving them away, no one would be mad enough to buy one.

It's clearly far too narrow to share. And being comfortable down to -48C seems over- engineered. I've just bought a similar but wider car-camping product in Decathlon for £40.

Read that as "perfect vehicle for camping".

Disappointed :(
