The Bolin Jacket

The Bolin Jacket features the same AscentShell™ technology as our award-winning Realm Jacket. Totally waterproof, highly breathable and incredibly lightweight, AscentShell™ is an air permeable, electrospun laminate technology that provides complete protection against rain, snow, wind and inclement weather during high exertion alpine sports. AscentShell™ fabric's amazing breathability quickly vents perspiration and excess heat during aerobic activity, and its light weight form saves precious energy during demanding endeavours.

Like the Realm, the Bolin features a supple 20D Nylon rip stop face fabric with mechanical stretch that feels reminiscent of softshell. This runs through the body and lower arms for maximum breathability where heat tends to build up most, and works in tandem with Dynamic Reach™ panelling to create a trim but unrestrictive fit over mid-weight insulation. For rugged durability we've reinforced the hood, shoulders and upper arms with a tough 70D plain weave nylon fabric and used strong, smooth running Aquaguard zippers throughout. Other alpine essentials include a wire-brimmed Halo-hood that can be adjusted to provide a snug fit (whatever your helmet type or whether you're wearing one), a double separating front zip, above harness hand-warmer pockets and a waterproof media tech pocket.

Active Insulation:

To tackle the perils of chill-inducing moisture from the inside, the versatile layers found within our award-winning active insulation collection are a must. We've selected moisture wicking, air-permeable fabrics from Polartec's ground-breaking portfolio of synthetic insulation and used them to construct lightweight, compressible layers that regulate your temperature. Now you can transition though an entire day of stop-start activity without the need to add or remove layers. The Uberlayer sits at the warmest end of the spectrum (Polartec® Alpha), followed by the Ascendant collection (Polartec® Alpha Direct), and finally the Deviator (Polartec® Powergrid / Polartec® Alpha). Choose your activity and take your pick.
