The Ceros, our latest directional belay carabiner, is now available in shops and online. It minimises the risk of cross-loading when belaying, by keeping the carabiner aligned in its optimum orientation on your belay loop.

In use, you will immediately appreciate the easy one-handed operation. The Ceros' internal wiregate enables captive attachment to the belay loop with an upward pull and prevents accidental removal. If the user clips the biner to the loop without properly locating the carabiner, then by default the downward opening wiregate will 'seat' it correctly when loaded. The Ceros carries over the horn feature from our Rhino carabiner to prevent assisted-braking belay devices moving onto the spine. A rounded full-section top bar gives a smooth belay action with excellent wear resistance.
