Spring has arrived and now is the ideal time to check your trad rack is in good order. In case you're missing a crucial cam we're running a competition with three Dragon Cams to be won. You even get to choose which size cam you want.
This video may help you answer, but that needle is moving fast!
To help you when it comes to checking and lubricating your cams we recently put together a guide to the Cleaning, Inspection and Maintenance of DMM Cams. An important part of that inspection is checking that the extendable sling, including the stitching, is undamaged and free from cuts, frays or heavy abrasion.
It's always worth cleaning and lubricating your cams before a thorough inspection as dirt and grime may hide possible visible damage.
If the sling on your DMM cam needs replacing or you are in any doubt about the safe condition of your unit, do not use it. But that doesnt necessarily mean its life is over as we offer a DMM cam servicing and re-slingingservice (we also re-sling Torque Nuts). Fill in the appropriate form here and include it with the unit when you send it in.
