So what's new?

Improved traction on a variety of surfaces

The introduction ofVibram® Megagrip across the Radiant Hiking collection notably increases the grip performance and versatility of the Radiant outsole. This remarkable rubber compound was purposely developed to offer sure grip on a variety of wet surfaces without compromising durability - so hikers could feel more confident traversing smooth wet slabs and paving. Radiant's grippy radial lug pattern remains unchanged with deep, widely spaced lugs providing excellent traction and dirt shedding capabilities. The aggressive heal cleats of the Aso-Brake system enhance control on descent, whilst the forefoot design optimises pronation control and support. Dual density EVA midsoles provide valuable underfoot protection and long-term durability.

Comfort and Fit

The Greenwood GV benefits from a newly designed ankle cuff with cushioned lycra inserts improving articulation around the ankle joint and soft-touch microfiber linings adding comfort.

Other details

The Greenwood GV maintains the Tribes clean lines and classic appearance with one-piece, water-resistant Perwanger leather uppers, hard-ware lacing and a moulded-in rubber toe cap. Gore-Tex Performance linings provide 3-Season waterproof protection. All Asolo styles are built on gender specific lasts that respect the morphology of the foot in order to achieve a precise, supportive fit.

Materials & Technologies

Perwanger Leather

Established in 1780, this prestigious leather tannery developed the first water-resistant leather for use in mountaineering boots before going on to develop fully waterproof leathers, compatible with breathable waterproof membranes and bonded rubber components. Based in the Tyrolean Alps, raw materials and manufacturing are 100% made in Italy and fully compliant with strict environmental regulations.

Gore-Tex performance Comfort

Designed for a wide range of outdoor activities in moderate to cool conditions, durable Gore-Tex Performance Comfort offers breathable waterproof protection with moderate insulation, so feet stay dry and comfortable through variable use.

Radiant Outsole

Asolo's highly technical Radiant outsole features the multi-directional traction of radial lugs and the locking grip of an aggressive Aso-brake heel cleat. Add in Vibram Megagrip rubber and dual density EVA cushioning and all elements combine to create excellent traction, comfort and control.

I have won two UKC competitions over the years. If you are questioning their integrity you are sadly misguided.

You can find the user profile of the winner(s) of each comp here once it is finished: https://www.ukclimbing.com/news/competitions/ Unfortunately UKC/H staff can't enter the competitions - the inhumanity! :(
