The access problems at Blacknor North have taken a curious turn. The problems have mainly been instigated because of a lang-standing dispute between two land owners living on top of the crag. Climbers have been caught in the middle and access denied because of a need for privacy of the two land owners. Mike Simmonds reports that, in an escalation of the dispute, one of the landowners has now been charged with shooting the other - not fatally. Whatever the outcome of this dramatic event, access to Blacknor North could be subject to change for better or worse over the coming months.
