Britain's strongest climbing husband and wife?

© Tom, UKC News Editor
They could be Britain's strongest climbing husband and wife team. On 8 May, Nicholas Sellers and Katherine Schirrmacher were married at St Peter's Church, Kinver. Nic sprung to climbing prominence in the early 1990's as one of a new breed of sport climbers, whose talents quickly saw him redpointing F8c and on-sighting F8a. In recent years, his focus has shifted to traditional routes, with E7 on-sights and E8 first ascents. Katherine got into climbing at Leeds University and applied her formidable strength, developed through a youth spent as a committed gymnast. She had a very traditional background, working her way up through the grades to become a solid E4 leader, 6c boulderer and F7c redpointer. After their first meeting, the two of them hooked up in South Africa and...the rest is history as they say. A proposal in Sardinia and honeymoon in Croatia, these climbing sweethearts are destined to travel the world together pursuing what they love the most (apart from each other) - climbing. Congratulations and best wishes for your future together Nic and Katherine.
