After the bad news for Birmingham climbers this month with the closure of the Rockface, there is now some good news with the announcement of a new wall. Creation Climbing Centre, led by Mike Kerby, has got together with Epic Skate Centre on the Mosley Road in Birmingham to start to redevelop 40,000sq ft warehouse into a combined skateboarding and climbing centre with a cafe, bar, small-screen cinema and stage area. No planning consent is required and development is due to start in January with phase one of the construction of the climbing wall is anticipated to be completed by April 2005.
