The BMC is joining forces with the MCofS in opposing one of the latest plans for wind farm development in the Scottish Highlands. The Monadhliaths are a classic wilderness area between the Cairngorms and Loch Ness. The latest wind farm plans proposes siting 36 x 110m high turbines on the area of plateau on the Dunmaglass Estate. This would be the highest wind farm in Britain and visible for miles around.
The website for the campaign to Stop Dunmaglass gives more background information on the natural importance of this site and has information about how to object if you wish to do so.
