Whilst the climbing is fairly positive, 18 year old Ryan Pasquil's flash of this route signifies the absolute confidence of a new breed of young climbers operating predominantly, but not exclusively on grit. Pre-rehearsed grit ascents of up to E7 and even E8 have become commonplace. For those who dare, a pure E8 grit on-sight may soon be a reality.
