British climber Stewart Watson has climbed the famous boulder problem Memento (Font 8B+, V14) at Silvretta, Austria.

Commenting on his blog, Stew said: "I needed 2 sessions for the boulder. Cool line in a nice setting."

Memento was first climbed by Bernd Zangerl and seems to have settled at the grade of Font 8B+. The problem was first climbed via a huge dyno and Zangerl offered a grade of Font 8C+ as the move took him so long to latch. Tyler Landman comments on this problem in his superb UKC End of Year 2008 bouldering article.

The hardest boulder problems in the world are graded Font 8C/8C+ (V15/16) with three of them in the UK: John Gaskin's Walk Away Sit Start, Shadow Play and Il Pirata all in the Lake District and all with proposed grades of Font 8C.
