Big Up has released a clip of Kevin Jorgeson climbing his variation of James Pearson's The Groove, at Cratcliff Tor in the Peak district. Before James solved the enigmatic sequences, this route was well known as one of the "last great lines" of Grit and had been tried for many years.
Kevin climbed through the first (and hardest for James) crux, but couldn't find a solution for the second one near the top, most likely due to lack of reach, and opted for a variation, going right, and then back left to the top of the route. Kevin has never made any secret of this fact.
