"New" Nicole route in the 9th grade

© UKC News
Not exactly news perhaps, as it happened in March last year, but none the less unknown to most: Mr Nicole, Fred this time, has put up L'isola che non c'è (Neverland), 9th grade (~5.15) in the Amden cave, St. Gallen, Switzerland. The route is around 15m, 12 of which are pure roof climbing. It begins with a sit down start, but couldn't be climbed as a boulder problem because of the high finish, ~10 m off the ground. According to UP-climbing, L'isola che non c'è has a climbing style resembling Witness the Fitness, HCR, and Esperanza, Hueco Tanks, and a structure similar to Madiba, at Rocklands and to Cave Rave in the Grampians.

I don't think using the news as such is a problem, never ever linking to the source (even if it's a secondary one) is however. I can live with it though. ;)
