Christophe Zehani has made the first ascent of Décalage vers la lumiere at Gargantua, France, and suggested 9a, thereby giving himself one of the best possible, slightly late, gifts for his 35th birthday. The route is, like everything hard at Gargantua, very steep and requires massive stamina.
