This Saturday (November 5th) see the first Women's Climbing Symposium at the Climbing Hangar in Liverpool. The symposium is the work of 2011 British Bouldering Champion Shauna Coxsey.

"It is a day about women's climbing, how we do it, how we can get more from it and where we would like to see it going."

The day is being attended by some of the top names in women's climbing from around the World. People like Lucy Creamer, Alex Puccio, Katherine Schirrmacher, Emma Twyford, Audrey Seguy, Lucinda Whittaker, Kitty Wallace, Diane Merrick, Mina Leslie-Wujastyk and Shauna herself. There will be coaching workshops and lectures as well as plenty of time for climbing, socialising and meeting other climbers. There is also a parents workshop run by Ian Dunn, British Junior Team Climbing Coach.

This event needs supporting, get there if you can, £20 is reasonable for a days climbing/coaching/discussion. If I was around I'd be there. Mick
