After the Kranj WC, some of the competitors must have felt they still had some power and skin left and went to Misja Pec to try the "real thing" so to speak.

Spanish duo, Ramon Julian Puigblanque, who finished a, by his standards, disappointing 11th, and Edu Marin, both managed to onsight Millenium, ~8b+, while over all WC winner (3rd at Kranj) made a quick redpoint of Martin Krpan, ~9a.

You might also like to know that the UK's top Junior Climber also took part in the competition finishing a very credible 30th in his first ever Senior event. On one of the qualifiers he would have made the semi-final (top 26). After the competition he also headed to Misja Pec and managed an easy day at the crag!: onsighting a 7b+ to warm up, and red pointing an 8b+ and an 8a+ in the day. Luke Tilley also competed in the Senior competition finishing 49th and both Luke and Ed are joining 11 other juniors for the final event of the season at Kranj this weekend. Let's wish them all good luck and if anyone wants to see our young climbing talent that is coming through then the BMC Youth Open is happening at Sunderland Wall on 10th December.
