In the seventh video in the Boreal True Grip Series, we follow Jordan and Naomi Buys as they go about making first ascents and repeats of hard, bold and esoteric routes in the quarries of Lancashire. You can read more about Naomi's week of E7's in this UKC News Report.

Boreal introduce the episode:

In episode 7 'The Head Game', film maker Nick Brown follows the husband and wife pairing of Jordan and Naomi Buys as they visit some of the more 'esoteric' Gritstone crags near their home in Burnley.

The film opens with Jordan climbing at New Church Quarry as he attempts a committing first ascent of an unusually steep and pumpy E8.

Later we follow Naomi at Hawkcliffe (West Yorkshire) and then on a different route back at New Church quarry. At the time of filming Noami was on a roll. She had recently bagged a string of hard routes and was about to make this her best ever week of Gritstone trad climbing.

Good video, much better than the usual and wellworth watching and enjoying. I like her choice of knitwear. It's a shame the cameraman doesn't realise that climbers often reach up. He misses off so many of those long moves it's a bit silly.
