Kilian Fischhuber Attempts India's Hardest Sport RouteVideo

Back in January of this year Austrian competition climber Kilian Fischuber travelled to India to meet up with Tuhin Satarkar. Tuhin is one of India's top sport climbers and had recently made the first Indian ascent of India's hardest sport route; the 8b+ Ganesh at Badami.

Unsurprisingly Kilian made a fast repeat of Ganesh, and then went on to bolt and attempt a harder route. Unfortunately the short time frame and hot conditions meant that, despite his mustache, Kilian didn't quite make a successful redpoint.

You can watch the whole story in the video below. We liked the look of Badami - such amazing rock. Not too sure about the palm reading though.

What the access situation like at this place? I think I read somewhere that some of the locals would take exception to you climbing on the rocks and throw stones at you.
