La grosse Tarlouze, ~8C, first ascent by Piccolruaz

Michael Piccolruaz has made the first ascent of La grosse Tarlouze, ~8C, on the Bruno/Bach block at Magic Wood, Switzerland.

This problem climbs the whole of Die Unendliche Geschichte/The Never ending story, ~8B+, before continuing way out left and topping out on the last moves of Massive attack.

Another way of describing it is to say he linked The never ending story into Giuliano Cameroni's recently opened La Tarlouze.
Michael suggests ~8C for the whole line, making it his first of the grade.

Soon, it's time to leave the boulders for a while and concentrate on the upcoming World Cup competitions and the European Bouldering Championships in Innsbruck in May.

The never ending story has been topped out before, but then straight up and as a 9a route. It was first done by Peter Würth in 2009 and has, as far as I know, only been repeated by Andy Gullsten.

Here is a video of Michael doing the first part of his new problem back in 2012 when he was 16.
