Ben Moon climbing Rainshadow 9aVideo

As previously reported and interviewed on UKC, Ben Moon recently made an inspirational ascent of Rainshadow (9a) (9a) at Malham Cove in Yorkshire.

Here is a brilliant video of Ben's ascent from Ben Pritchard.

Commenting on the Moon Blog, Ben said:

"I apologise for bombarding you with stuff about my recent ascent of Rainshadow but I promise this will be the last post. I still find it hard to believe that I managed to redpoint this route and that today I am uploading a film of the actual ascent. The incredible thing about this is that today is the 14th June which is the date I climbed my first 9a Hubble 25 years ago. I really couldn't have scripted this better. Anyway I hope you enjoy this short film by Ben Pritchard."

Great video... felt a little emotional at the end :o) What a rare moment, to see a hero come back in later life and climb harder than he ever did before... you have to wonder just what he'd have been capable of in that quarter of a century if he'd kept pushing it.
