Mission Impossible (M11) flashed

Italian guide, Kurt Astner and Russian, Dimitry Bychkov have both climbed Mauro Bubu Bole's "Mission Impossible" (M11) in Valsavaranche, Northern Italy. Astner flashed the route, according to planetmountain.com, with Dimitry's ascent claimed as an on-sight by risk.ru. When Bubu first climbed the line in 2000, which involves a 15m roof, he said "I've never climbed a dry tooling route as demanding and complete as 'Mission Impossible'". The route has seen a number of ascents lately, in between rounds of the Ice World Cup. Astner had climbed M10 before, including Stevie Haston's mythical "X Files" in Cogne. He commented "Mission Impossible had been my dream, although I'd never dreamt I'd be able to climb it on-sight or flash...The route is an integral part of dry tooling history.."
