Here is a video which tries to capture the Helsinki/Sisu Masters experience. I think it does a really good job! It features Jimmy Webb's flash of The Globalistas well as clips from the Sisu Masters competition, the Lappnor project and more.
Enjoy!

Great video, I really enjoyed the mixture of comp, demonstration and outdoor problems. That Lappnor Project looks immense! Edit: you could do with removing the last word from the subject header though!
Indoor bouldering comps are really not my thing but this still worked really well. Helsinki region bouldering could make a really interesting destination for a long weekend for UK boulders, particularly those who can get to Gatwick easily for cheap flights with Norwegian. Obviously the movie shows the super hard problems but Lappnor is a lovely area with loads and loads of moderate problems too. You can basically camp anywhere that isn't a garden or field in Finland, but there is also plenty of bouldering very close to Helsinki itself (Lappnor is only about an hour's drive). There is an English language guide to bouldering in Southern Finland https://varuste.net/en/Southern+Finland+bouldering+guide?_tu=49853 but also 27crags covers it all extensively https://27crags.com/areas/14
Really well made video. I liked the fact it showed the environment around the climbers, the weather, airport etc. Too often videos concentrate solely on a climb and the moves and the viewer has no idea about the locality of a route or problem. I thought the music was pretty good too, a nice addition but without dominating the whole vid as so often happens in climbing videos.
The live drummer at the event I thought was a great idea. I wonder if he was doing that the whole day?! The guys who made this film have a made a whole hour long film about the history of climbing in Finland (trailer http://www.ukclimbing.com/news/item.php?id=67545 ) it has been showing in cinemas in Finland and at festivals, but they will release it to stream or buy soon I think. I've seen it and will write a full review, but it's really well made and would be of interest to anyone who likes climbing esoterica and wants to know how Nalle and Andy got so strong coming from a supposedly flat country full of trees and lakes - but also boulders as it turns out!
