Another week, another Font 8B+ for Will Bosi. Continuing his run of form on Peak Limestone, Will has made the 3rd ascent of Superman Sit Start (f8B+) at Cressbrook.

Ben Moon made the first ascent of Superman Sit Start in 1994 and the grade was thought to be in the 8B/8B+ range. After his ascent, the crucial sidepull snapped making it harder. It wasn't until the early 2000s that Tim Clifford reclimbed the stand start using a small crimp instead of the broken sidepull. In 2015, Ned Feehally reclimbed the sit start at the grade of 8B+. It's safe to say the problem has stopped a lot of top climbers.

Will told UKC: 'Superman sit is a really historic boulder so I'm very happy to have got it done. However, it is eliminate and definitely a training boulder. I hadn't found time for it before but with the climbing centres staying shut it made a lot of sense to try now!'

In June, Will made ascents of Bewilderness (f8B+) (8B+), which took him just four attempts, and Tomahawk (f8B+) (8B+), which he climbed in 25-degree weather.

With the European Championships due to be held in November, it is likely that the rest of Will's year will be based around peaking for the competition in Moscow. It's also the final competition for Olympic hopefuls to qualify, with just one stop available for Europeans. To successfully qualify, Will has to win or be the highest placed eligible non-qualified climber.
