The Brazilian Line - Big Wall Climbing DocumentaryVideo

In 2018, Mike 'Twid' Turner, Steve Long, Angus Kille and James Taylor travelled to Brazil to attempt a remote big wall. Their objective was to free climb a new route on the south face of Pedra Baiana - a huge granite wall in the centre of the country.

The team were up against it from the very start of the trip; fuel shortages, wasp attacks, lack of equipment were hindering the expedition that already didn't have enough time. Steve and Twid set about bolting the route on lead - the prevailing ethic in the area - whilst Angus and James follow and attempt to free the line.

Rob Johnson was on location and was able to create this fantastic documentary that shows the difficulty of pioneering new routes on big walls:

A superb documentary of what is clearly a very impressive route indeed (climbed in even more impressive style). I would urge everyone to watch this. You won't be disappointed!
