Bubu repeats The End of Silence

The Italian website, PlanetMountain.com reports that Mauro 'Bubu' Bole and Hari Berger have repeated The End of Silence, Thomas Huber's 8b+ on the Feuerhorn, Berchtesgaden Alps. First climbed in 1994, this 11 pitch route is one of the hardest of its genre, involing sustained 8th grade pitches on a big Alpine face with the crux at pitch 10. Bubu used fixed ropes to work the route before redpointing it from the ground with one fall on the crux 10th pitch. The End of Silence has seen a few ascents now, the second ascent by Jörg Andreas and a repeat by Stephan Glowacz.
