Siobhan Coughlan has climbed the Sissy (8a) at Rubicon. She is only the third female to climb a route of this grade in the Peak. The route is typical of Rubicon Wall; hard and becoming harder as bits drop off! The difficulties are confined to the steep middle section where a powerful rock-over is required.
Ruth Jenkins is the only woman to have climbed more than one route of 8a or above in the Peak with her new route De Vine (8a) in Chee Dale, and also Zele the Freak (8b!) at Rubicon. For a full list check out the PlanetFear news page.
