Canada has its first 8c+, courtesy of Sonnie Trotter. Superman is in Cheakamus Canyon, Squamish/Whistler (on the western coast) and starts up Captain America, (F8c/c+), which Trotter made the 4th ascent of, and finishes up Heat (F8b) which until now had been unrepeated.

He was having a busy time - he also did Pulse (F8b+) and Division Bell (8b).

The climbing scorecard site 8a.nu (see link) reckons that he's closing in on a place in the world's top 10 for people who actually, you know, climb.
