The lecture is hosted by Tunbridge Wells Mountaineering Club and entitled "Everest and Beyond" - but while there will be a short element involving the "E" word, the bulk of the talk will concentrate on his rescue from 20,000 ft on Panch Chuli with 2 broken legs and his crossing of South Georgia last year with Reinhold Messner and Conrad Anker.
Tickets are £4 for BMC or BMC affiliated members and £6 for others. A limited number of youth tickets are available (subsidised by Nikwax and Paramo) for under-18s ordering through schools and/or youth groups.
Tickets are available through the Stag box office on 01732 450 175 (youth groups should email Rob Naylor at rnaylor@itl.uk.com).
Any profits will be donated to the Andy Fanshawe Memorial Trust, which aims to help kids get mountaineering experience.
