Fred Rouhling has made the 3rd ascent of Fred Nicole's Bain de Sang (F9a) at Saint Loup, according to 8a.nu (quoting Grimper Magazine in a very roundabout way); the second ascent by Francois Nicole. Fred only needed a few tries to nail it, apparently.

The route was first done in 1993 and is ranked around the fourth-hardest in the world (or so..) We've struggled to find a picture of the route, which as we recall is a staggeringly smooth, surprisingly vertical route.
