A very smart move by the Pakistanis. They have reduced the peak fees massivley and now they are offering high Altitide rescues. Will this encourage people to go there rather than Nepal which is having its own problems? Think of the future now with these high alt choppers, a new breed of soloist may emerge who getts choppered to the base of a route or a col to avoid the slog, races up the route in no time atall then calls for a pluck off from the summit. It happened in the Alps. I wonder if all the Aspen helishier operators are pondering a move to Pakistan with thier ultra rich clients. JAmes e
