Hard Scotland Boulder Problems

© John Watson, Stone Country
Earier this year Dave MacLeod climbed Anubis E8 6c on Ben Nevis's Comb Buttress. From the big to the very small he has now completed a long standing boulder project at Dumbarton Rock. He has proposed Font 8b (around V13) for Pressure a long roof problem on the Eagle boulder. You can find a full report with photos at Scottish Climbs. Thanks to John Watson of Stone Country for the photo in this report.

On Lewis Si O'conor reports a lay down start to Atlantic Bridge at a proposed V13 (around Font 8b) and an even bigger number on the Isle of Skye, he has reported V15 (around Font 8c) for Eat Yerself Whole. You can read more at Si's blog. Si is also currently making a film about the bouldering on Lewis.

I don't want to be a pedant, but Si O'Connor seems to be trying to make his blog website as hard to read as it is to climb his boulder problems. Dark grey text on a black background, ouch!

Another string to one of the largest bows in the country. Its the all round skills and faultless emphasis on the style of ascent that strikes me as being Daves foremost qualities (as a climber anyway!) Font 8b E10 7a Winter X1 11 Sport - F8c in Scotland anyway..... Si O Conner? A blaggard merchant of the highest horder. But I enjoy his ramblings enormously :-)
