Three big events today. At Tremadog in North Wales, the revival continues with a weekend of route cleaning. Climbers are invited to climb a route with a pair of secateurs to trim off the new spring growth. Tonight at Eric's Caff at 8.00pm Stu McAleese is presenting; 'The Good, The Bad and the Ugly: Adventures in Patagonia' with the BMC providing free beer from the local Purple Moose Brewery, followed by a bonfire (details_click here).

In Sheffield, the Climbing Works (details_click here) is hosting its first International Masters bouldering competition with free entry for spectators. If you fancy watching some films The Sheffield Adventure Film Forum (SHAFF) (details_click here) is under way. Tonight there is a Joint SHAFF and Climbing Works party after the competition finals at The Workstation in Sheffield city centre featuring DJ Eurosafe, Allied Manoveurs, Craig Smith and the legendary DJ Gallop. Tickets available from the Climbing Works during the day.

Here in Kendal, I just took the dog for a walk and there was quite a frost, with a lovely blue sky. If you are heading up to the Lakes don't forget to check out the celebrations today for the opening of a new independent climbing shop in Ambleside, The Lakes Climber (details_click here).

Have a great weekend.
