New Outdoor Boulders For SalfordVideo

Thanks to the Forestry Commission and funding from the North West Development agency, there are now two large Rockworks boulders in Swinton, Salford. The concrete boulders are situated in a small park and available for all to use.

Gravel landings make bouldering pads unnecessary, and the varied angles offer climbing at all grades. The steeper faces lend themselves to eliminates, and a guide has been created to describe many of the harder problems.

To find the boulders, turn off the A666 onto Queensway and follow this as it becomes Rake Lane. Turn left onto Martin Road. The boulders are located in the park at the end of the road.
