The Norovirus has returned to Lundy, with the overwhelming majority of groups going down with the disease. This is a similar situation to the the incidents which closed the island two years ago - UKClimbing.com news report. On this occasion visitors to the island were allowed home, but the 26 members of the residential staff quarantined themselves for nearly two weeks.
This comes at a bad time for climbers since this is prime Lundy season outside the annual nesting restrictions. All those with trips planned over the next few weeks should check the details before they travel.
