J-P still going strong

Now 53 years of age, the master of traverses, Jean-Pierre Bouvier, is still on top of his game. Recently at Masse in the southern most part of Fontainebleau, he made the 3rd ascent of Olivier Lebreton's traverse Catharsis, 8B+ trav. But not only that, he did a low, harder version of it, bumping the grade up to ~8C. He should know what he's talking about, as he's put up 7 traverses in the ~8C range in the forest, only one of which has seen a repeat. Check out his profile on Bleau.info. Not bad...

I'll settle for being called old when I'm that age and doing 8b+at Font!
